The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Velammal College Of Engineering & Technology is organizing 6th State level Mini-project contest m /c 2016…. Make….Conquer on April 8th, 2016 at our college premises.
The outcome of this State Level Mini Project Contest is,Our students received the MSME grant of Rs.42 Lakhs for 8 students Miniprojects and also won the grant in aid of Rs 90,000 for the miniproject Green Robot from Institution of Engineers (INDIA) Kolkata, IEI . Miniprojects presented in this state level miniproject contest by our students also won Gold ,Silver And Bronze Medals successively in NDRF –IE 42nd and 43rd All india students competition.
Our Project Automated rubbing tapping machine won IVCA top innovator award in i3 National competition from Dr.Harsh Vardhan ,Union minister for Science & Technology &Earth Sciences and Shri.Y.S.Chowdary ,Minister of State for Ministry of Science and Technology & Earth Sciences at IIT Delhi conducted by DST-CII at Delhi.Our project " Flower winding machine" has been shortlisted for Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, President's Estate, New Delhi .
Various other projects were presented in the national competitions like BRY AIR conducted by AHVAC at Bangalore.Our student’s success continues in doing projects and presenting in project competitions like VIT MAKERS FETE, PDMA, AutoMeet - Project Contest at MIT.Twenty Miniprojects are filed for provisional patents and three of them are in in advanced stage of development.
